Pennsylvania Legislators and Jewish Federation members Went On A Fact Finding Mission in Israel and Met With MDA

MDA International Director Visits Philly

Director, teaches Philadelphians about MDA and makes a presentation at a luncheon at the law firm of Zarwin Baum DeVito Kaplan Schaer Toddy, PC.  From left are E. Prime Time Women's Division of United Federation of Princeton Mercer Bucks hosted AFMDA for a luncheon themed "Israel's Response to Disasters:  How we join together to provide services and hope for a better future," with guest speaker Sharon Schmidt, AFMDA Greater Phila Area Director. Standing are Program Chair Rose Movitch, Hostess JoAnn Carchman, Sharon Schmidt, and Prime Time Women's Co-chairs Joyce Shaffer and Helen Siswein.

The Philadelphia Friends of AFMDA honored Norman P. Zarwin and E. Harris Baum, founding shareholders of Zarwin Baum DeVito Kaplan Schaer Toddy, P.C., with the 2009 Lifeline Award, in recognition of their longtime commitment to the Jewish Community and the people of Israel. Proceeds from the event will benefit the William H. Bloomberg MDA Jerusalem Station.

Bucks County Friends of AFMDA and Star of David Bikers teamed up for a fundraising ride, show and festival.  Bikers came from as far as Atlanta, Virginia and New York for the event.
