Ronnie Hans Rathauser Z”L, 1927-2025
Ronnie Hans Rathauser passed away on February 8th, 2025 at her home in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Ronnie was born in New York City on September 8th, 1927 to Bernard and Pearl (Schoen) Hans. She grew up with her brother, Marvin Hans Z”L, first in the Bronx and later in Forest Hills. She subsequently attended Alfred University.
Ronnie married Frank Rathauser in New York City. They moved to Trenton where they raised their three children, John, Robert, and Bette.
While Ronnie formally managed Frank’s medical practice for many years, her true life’s work was the home and family she built with devotion. She raised three children with patience, grace, and an unwavering sense of duty. A keen observer and vivid storyteller, Ronnie had a gift for distilling life’s simple truths. She was revered by family and friends for her elegance and the wisdom that clung to each of her words; a healer in her own right.
Ronnie is predeceased by her husband, Frank Rathauser Z”L; daughter, Bette Rosenberg Z”L; brother, Marvin Hans Z”L; and parents, Bernard and Pearl Hans Z”L.
She is survived by her sons, John Rathauser and Robert Rathauser; sister-in-law, Judy Hans; daughter-in-law, Debra Hyman Rathauser; son-in-law, Gary Rosenberg; grandchildren, Amy (Stefanie) Poma, Andrew (Karen) Rosenberg, Benjamin (Annmarie) Rathauser, Daniel (Erin) Rathauser, Evan Rosenberg, and Jonathan (Sapir) Rathauser; and great-grandchildren, Aiden, Aviv, Eila, and Mackenzie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to honor Ronnie’s memory consider a donation to Magen David Adom (the Israeli Red Cross).
