You Were There, Helping MDA Respond to Latest Terror Attacks

A day of terrorist stabbings and shootings rocked Jaffa, Petah Tikvah, and Jerusalem on Tuesday, March 8. By the time the carnage ended, one American visitor died and 13 were wounded, including six in serious condition. Israelis continues to cope with a wave of terror that, since its start in October, has claimed 34 lives and injured 338 more.

The latest attacks only reinforced Israelis’ reassurance that they can count on Magen David Adom. As Israel’s only national EMS organization, MDA was there, first at the scene at all three incidents, including MDA paramedic Bosmat Lubiner, who began treating a critically wounded policeman while shots were still ringing out.

In a way, you were there, too. Bosmat’s ability to respond instantaneously could not happen without the training that you support. And when innocent victims needed to be transported to Ichilov hospital after the stabbings in Jaffa, the Mobile Intensive Care Units that kept them alive were sponsored by the St. Andrews community in Boca Raton, Fla.

During this time of incessant terrorist stabbings, car-rammings, and shootings, seconds count. That’s why all of Israel depends on Magen David Adom’s experience, resources, and training to save lives. And MDA depends on you.
