American Friends of Magen David Adom was shinning bright at the Light Up Palm Beach Chanukah celebration on December 22, 2014 at Bradley Park. Hundreds of people ate latkes while enjoying the winter wonderland carnival and lighting of the Ice Menorah by Palm Beach Mayor Gail Coniglio. Among all the excitement, AFMDA made a huge impact spreading awareness for Magen David Adom’s lifesaving work in Israel.

Volunteers donned t-shirts reading “Save a life in Israel…ask me how!” as they welcomed people over to the AFMDA booth. Everyone had the opportunity to explore the Mobile Intensive Care Unit and Lifesaving ambulance that were both open for the public. Children eagerly climbed inside to take a look around before decorating ambulance tzedakah boxes of their own. Volunteer EMTs and Paramedics were also standing by to answer questions and share stories of their lifesaving experiences.

The night was a huge success spreading awareness for Magen David Adom among the Palm Beach Community. We hope everyone that came out had as much fun as we did! Happy Chanukah!
