Family and friends celebrated the life of Carol Lynn Berger on October 26, 2014 at an ambulance dedication ceremony at Congregation Beth Rishon in Wyckoff, New Jersey. The ambulance, sponsored by the 613 Foundation, was open for viewing during the ceremony. Children from the synagogue’s Hebrew school had the opportunity to look inside and imagine life as a lifesaving MDA paramedic, while one teacher, who volunteered for MDA when she was younger, shared her experiences with them.

Also in attendance were Carol’s late husband, Jack, and their four children. The touching event paid tribute to Carol’s love for Israel as attendants sang songs led by the synagogue’s cantor and viewed the ambulance inscription, “Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother. May her memory be for a blessing.”
