Robert and Beverly Rosenfeld’s grandson, Michael, served as an MDA Overseas Volunteer, an experience that was invaluable in helping him achieve his goal of becoming a physician. Michael’s tour with MDA included several unique situations including delivering a baby in the ambulance in route to the hospital. Robert and Beverly were so moved by Michael’s experience they chose to sponsor an MDA ambulance. The ambulance was dedicated at a moving service at Temple Israel on May 11, 2014 with the participation of Rabbis Joshua Bennett and Paul Yedwab. The ambulance has now joined MDA’s fleet of more than 1,000 lifesaving vehicles and is now in Herzilya serving the area residents, including Beverly’s family who live close by.
