Saving Lives One Dollar at a Time

The fourth graders at Temple Sinai in Brookline, Massachusetts know a thing or two about saving lives. Every Sunday they drop their spare change and dollars into a little tzedakah box and watch week after week as it fills up, knowing that one day their money will help save lives in Israel with Magen David Adom. The class could have picked any charity to give their tzedakah to, but they chose AFMDA specifically because of its lifesaving activities. They know that as Israel’s ambulance, blood-services, and disaster-relief organization, Israel’s 8 million people depend on Magen David Adom every day.

In appreciation of all their hard work, AFMDA’s New England Representative Burt Klein presented the class with a certificate and spoke about how important their contribution is. “Every donation is priceless because MDA’s main mission is saving lives, and saving a life is priceless.” said Burt Klein.
