During the horrors of the October 7 attacks, MDA paramedic Hadas Ehrlich and her driver Eliel traveled back and forth to Sderot in their armored ambulance 15 times over 13 hours — extracting the wounded amid terrifying Hamas gunfire.
In this video, hear how when Erlich and Eliel reached a grievously injured police officer, he asked Hadas if he was going to live. “We’re going to make a deal,” she replied. “You stay awake and I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure you live.” He agreed.
During the ambulance journey, as she administered treatment, he started to lose consciousness. She startled him awake by yelling, “Hey, we had a deal!” And thanks to her, the man survived.
