Maj. (res) Amishar Ben David, 43, from the settlement of Eli, served as a commander in the Commando Division, and was killed in battle with terrorists. A high school teacher and Magen David Adom volunteer, he is survived by his wife and five children.
The reservist killed in combat in Gaza on Friday is Maj. (res) Amishar Ben David, 43, who served as a commander in the Commando Division.
According to the IDF spokesperson, Amishar was killed in battle with terrorists. Another officer from the Commando Division was wounded earlier on Friday, in the same battle.
Amishar was from the Eli settlement, and is survived by his wife and five children. A graduate of the pre-army academy in Eli, he was a high school teacher and volunteered in the Magen David Adom emergency medical services as an ambulance driver.
