While Yafit Troya’s husband was driving her to the hospital to give birth, the couple got stuck in a big traffic jam.
Yafit’s contractions started to come more quickly and their car was still unable to move. So, her husband called Magen David Adom for assistance.
Soon, Moshe Galbstein, a paramedic, and Mendy Amitai, an EMT, arrived by Medicyle. The Medicycles could circumvent the terrible traffic to reach the Troyas quickly on the side of the road in Lod. Galbstein and Amitai successfully delivered Yifat’s baby boy safely before an ambulance reached the new family and brought them to the hospital to recover.
The MDA medics paid the Troyas a visit at their home last week. “You arrived quickly on motorcycle when we needed you,” said the Troyas. “You were like angels.”
