Heli and Elyasaf, a couple from Kiryat Gat, were driving to the hospital to have a baby, when Heli realized she was about to give birth in the car.

They immediately called Magen David Adom’s 101 Emergency Call Center and were instructed to stop by the side of the road.

Elyasaf spoke with MDA dispatch EMT Aviv Peretz who guided him on how to deliver the baby safely over the phone.

MDA EMTs Mazal Buskilla, Adi Ben Basat, and Gary Fort arrived shortly after the birth and brought Heli and her newborn baby to the hospital where both are in good condition.
