12 others were injured and treated by MDA at the scene of the shooting and stabbing attack on Jerusalem Boulevard.

After terrorists opened fire at a light rail station on Jerusalem Boulevard in Jaffa, large numbers of Magen David Adom teams were immediately dispatched to the scene in ambulances, Mobile Intensive Care Units (MICU), and Medicycles to provide medical assistance and evacuate the injured to hospitals. The attack occurred while alarms began sounding for rocket fire across the country. MDA paramedics fought to save the lives of 6 people, but had to pronounce them dead after resuscitation efforts.

MDA EMTs and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated 12 injured people, six seriously injured, four moderately injured, and two lightly injured, to Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center- Ichilov, Edith Wolfson Hospital, and Sheba Tel HaShomer Medical Center. During the attack, MDA’s blood services provided approximately 150 units of blood and blood components to the hospitals.

The attack was extremely violent. The terrorists opened fire at a train car while it was moving, injuring people inside and around it. The terrorists also harmed civilians at the commercial center near Aza Street.

“When I arrived at the scene, gunfire was still active,” said senior EMT from MDA’s motorcycle unit, Yousef Kourdi. “I noticed several victims near the train tracks suffering from gunshot wounds. I immediately began providing medical treatment, and at the same time, passersby pointed out additional victims at a nearby kiosk. I instructed them on how to stop the bleeding until I could reach them. After finishing with the first victims, I continued to another site at a synagogue a few hundred meters away, where I provided medical assistance to additional injured individuals.”

“I arrived on my Medicycle at the commercial center near Aza Street, where I treated three victims who were in a synagogue, a butcher shop, and on the street, suffering from stab wounds,” said senior EMT Israel Rost. “Two victims were in serious condition, and one was moderately injured. They were evacuated by MDA MICUs to the hospital.”
