Following reports received of rocket strikes in Kiryat Shmona to Magen David Adom’s dispatch center, a large number of MDA teams, including ambulances, Mobile Intensive Care Units, and first responders on Medicycles went to search the area. Teams found two victims in critical condition whom they had to pronounce dead, a man and woman in their 40s.

A MDA ambulance was struck by the rocket barrage and its window was shattered.

“I live in Kiryat Shmona and have had a first response ambulance with me since the beginning of the war in order to go out on calls,” said EMT Ziporra Barak. “The rocket fell right next to my house and the rear window shattered from the blast. As soon as it was possible, we took the ambulance to the station for it to be repaired and get it back into service.”
