Magen David Adom teams treated two injured men, both 20 years old, after a terror attack at a shopping mall in the northern city of Carmiel today. One man is in serious condition and the other was listed in critical condition. After treating the injured men on scene, MDA transported them to Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya. Tragically, the man in critical condition died of his injuries.
The man who died had been stabbed in his neck, and the other, who remains in serious condition, was stabbed in his upper body. MDA dispatched Medicycles, Mobile Intensive Care Units (MICUs), and ambulances to the scene. MDA medics stopped the bleeding and performed CPR before and during the evacuation to the hospital.
“When I arrived at the shopping mall, I was sent to the second floor. I saw two injured males in their 20s with penetrating injuries,” said MDA EMT Ran Moskowitz. “We placed them in the MICU and fought for their lives. One man was in critical condition and the other was conscious and in serious condition.”
Security camera footage from a store in the Hutzot Carmiel shopping mall showed the terrorist attacking an individual, who then opened fire at him. According to Times of Israel one of the two men wounded in the attack managed to shoot the attacker, who had arrived at the mall on foot.
