Herzog presented the Excellence Award to MDA servicewomen Mera Bokae and Tehila Kadosh for working beyond their volunteer hours to assist in times of crisis.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog presented the President’s Excellence Award to two national service volunteers at Magen David Adom (MDA) for working around the clock, beyond their volunteer hours, to help in times of crisis across Israel. The award winners were Mera Bokae, 20, from Akko, and Tehila Kadosh, 21, from Efrat.
Bokae, 20, is a Senior EMT, and Kadosh, 21, is a paramedic and training coordinator for MDA’s rapid response vehicles, the organization said on Tuesday. These two MDA volunteers were among the 29 total honorees.
The ceremony was held to honor outstanding National Civil Service volunteers in 2025 and was presented in the presence of both the president and his wife, Michal, Settlements and National Missions Minister Orit Strock, and Director of the National Service Authority, Reuven Pinsky.
