MDA EMTs and paramedics treated eight people in central Tel Aviv after a drone exploded amid apartment buildings, just a block from the sea. Following a search of the area, MDA teams found an unconscious 50-year-old man in one of the nearby buildings showing no signs of life and pronounced him deceased.
Four people were treated for shrapnel wounds and four others for panic symptoms after the large blast. MDA EMTs and paramedics transported the injured people to local hospitals and treated others at the scene for trauma and stress symptoms.
“We arrived quickly on scene and witnessed a major disturbance and damage caused by the explosion. We started to search the area and found four injured people. A male, 37, and female, 47, were injured at home. Two others, a 25-year-old female and a 30-year-old male, were injured in the street,” remarked MDA paramedic Roee Klein, and EMTs Yoel Rosenthal and Asher Greider.
“They were all fully conscious and suffered shrapnel injuries to the shoulders and limbs. One had blast injuries. We provided initial medical treatment and transported them to the hospital in mild condition. After further searches, a 50-year-old male was found unconscious with penetrating wounds. We performed a medical assessment, found no signs of life, and pronounced him deceased.”
The drone was launched by Houthi terrorists, a jihadist group that’s taken control over most of Yemen, and marks yet another front on which Israel is fighting.
Already, in addition to the war in Gaza, Israel is enduring daily rocket attacks from Hezbollah terrorists at the country’s northern border, which killed two civilians earlier this month. The country is also facing frequent terror attacks, including car-rammings and shootings that injured seven Israelis this month alone.
