A short documentary film produced by Magen David Adom made its premiere at the Jaffa Film Festival on Tuesday, July 6. “Wave of Terror” reveals the hardships and personal stories experienced by MDA paramedics and EMTs during a three-year period of knife attacks and other forms of deadly violence — sometimes called the Intifada of Knives — that began in 2015.

Directed by Inbal Rauchwerger-Dayan, MDA’s director of marketing, “Wave of Terror” is the first film by MDA to be screened at a film festival. The 22-minute documentary provides detailed accounts from several paramedics’ perspective, how each attack was handled, and the personal toll it took on them — especially when, despite great efforts, the terror victims could not be saved.
