Following Israel’s “Rising Lion” preemptive military operation against Iran, Magen David Adom is on the highest level of alert.
Using three state-of-the-art MDA intensive care buses equipped with advanced medical equipment, MDA transferred premature babies and high-need patients from smaller hospitals to Rambam Medical Center’s protected area.
MDA is fully prepared to deliver lifesaving emergency care under the gravest conditions. This is what preparedness looks like.
Since the early morning hours, all 35,000 of the organization’s staff and volunteers have been mobilized to provide rapid and effective medical response.
While others seek shelter, MDA’s paramedics, EMTs, and volunteers run toward danger. From armored ambulances and Mobile Intensive Care Units to helicopters and dispatch centers operating from protected sites, MDA continues to serve Israelis under the threat of Iranian retaliatory attacks.
“Magen David Adom is fully prepared to provide rapid and advanced medical response in emergency scenarios,” remarked Yossi Halabi, director of MDA’s immediate response division. “MDA teams operate with specialized tools to ensure the highest protection of patients’ lives.”
MDA uses advanced technologies to identify and assist citizens in distress, and through these systems, maintains close cooperation with all security and emergency agencies – the IDF, Israel Police, Home Front Command, and others. MDA EMTs and paramedics provide callers with medical guidance until teams arrive at the scene.
Urgent blood drives are being held nationwide to ensure a sufficient supply for both the IDF and the civilian population.
MDA’s Sussman Family Foundation Human Milk Bank is continuing to operate under emergency procedures.
Throughout the year, MDA routinely conducts complex drills simulating various emergency scenarios, and its teams are prepared to respond quickly and professionally in any situation.
