On the eve of Passover, a car rammed into two people in Jerusalem in a terror attack. Magen David Adom arrived at the scene of the attack quickly, and treated the victims before bringing them to the hospital. One victim is an 18-year-old-man suffering from moderate head injuries, while the other, a 22-year-old man, was mildly injured. They were burning chametz ritualistically outdoors before the start of Passover when the car rammed into them.
The two pedestrians were hit by the same vehicle at two locations, one on Tchelet Mordechai Street and the other in Yirmiyahu Street in the Romema section of Jerusalem.
“We were nearby and as soon as we arrived at the scene, we saw a young man, about 18 years old, walking around with a head injury,” said MDA EMTs Yitzchak Har Kesef and Daniel Levy. “He was very upset. We treated him and evacuated him to the hospital in a mild-moderate condition.”
“We were called to Yirmiyahu Street, near the place where the vehicle hit the pedestrians, and we saw a 22-year-old man who was fully conscious, walking around,” said MDA paramedic Nadav Arzi. “He told us that while they were engaged in burning chametz at the entrance to the parking lot between buildings on Tchelet Mordechai Street, a vehicle sped towards a group of people and hit him and another injured person. He immediately ran away to the nearby Yirmiyahu Street. He suffered injuries to his head and face. We treated him and evacuated him to hospital in mild condition.”
