Former Prime Minister and leader of the opposition MK Yair Lapid visited Magen David Adom’s National Operations Center in Kiryat Ono where he met with MDA Director-General Eli Bin and senior members of the management team.
Lapid toured MDA’s 101 Emergency Call Center, learned about MDA’s blood services, met MDA teams saving lives across the country, and heard stories of the EMTs and paramedics who are residents in the south and the Western Negev who provided medical treatment under rocket and gunfire during the first moments of the war. Lapid also heard stories of heroism of the MDA personnel who sacrificed their lives while providing medical treatment.
“Magen David Adom is a system that operated successfully on October 7. We need to learn this system to see how we can use this experience. We need to do something else too – to say thank you for the lives saved, for the dedication, for the fact they are who they are,” said Lapid.
