Since Hamas launched its attack against Israel on Saturday, October 7, the brave men and women of Magen David Adom have risked their lives to save the lives of others. We are deeply saddened by those who have been killed in the recent violence and war. May their memories be a blessing.

Shaldag unit paramedic and MDA volunteer, Lior Arzi, 25, was killed in Gaza. Arzi worked in MDA’s station in Netanya.

IDF operations officer on the Nahal Oz base Osher Simha Barzilay, 19, saved many lives volunteering on MDA MICUs. She trained new volunteers and dreamed of becoming a brain surgeon.

Amishar Ben David, 43, was an IDF combat officer and head of the MDA volunteer unit in the community of Eli. He was an ambulance driver and EMT in addition to being a father, husband, and high school teacher.

Oriel Bibi, 30, of Shlomit, volunteered in the Yarkon and Negev regions. He had recently begun his studies in emergency medicine at Ben Gurion University to become a paramedic.

IDF soldier and MDA volunteer EMT Shir Biton, 19, was killed in battle in the Western Negev. A resident of Ashdod, she had been an MDA volunteer for four years and recently became an EMT.

IDF Sergeant Yonatan Dean Chaim, 25, from Ramat Gan, was killed in battle in Gaza. He converted to Judaism after studying the Holocaust in college and made aliyah from the United States. Chaim volunteered with MDA and donated blood.

IDF Sgt. First Class Nadav Cohen, 21, from Beit Hanan, was killed in Gaza while serving in the reserves. He was a MDA volunteer in the Ayalon Region.

IDF Sergeant Major Neria Moshe Cohen, 26, was killed while fighting in reserve duty. He was in medical school at Ben Gurion University in Be’er Sheva and was a volunteer EMT with MDA for the past three years.

First Sergeant Rotem Dushi, 20, from Shimshit, was a paratrooper who was killed while fighting terrorists in Kfar Aza. He began volunteering for MDA when he was 15.

Ronen Engel, 54, was an MDA volunteer in Kibbutz Nir Oz. He was kidnapped while treating others on his kibbutz on October 7 and was killed in Gaza.

Evgeny Galsky, 34, was a firefighter and a volunteer MDA EMT in the Ayalon region. He was killed on October 7.

Senior EMT and ambulance driver Aharon Haimov, 25, of Ofakim, was killed on October 7 while driving an MDA ambulance to treat others. Haimov had worked for MDA for four years.

Sergeant Reef Harush, 20, of Kibbutz Ramat David, was a MDA EMT in the Gilboa region. He was training to be military commando.

Aviya Hezroni, 69, was murdered by Hamas terrorists in his home in Kibbutz Be’eri. Hezroni volunteered for MDA for over 20 years where he was a senior EMT and ambulance driver in the Be’eri area.

IDF soldier and MDA volunteer Lior Levy, 19, was killed in battle in the Gaza Strip. A resident of Dimona, she began volunteering for MDA at age 14.

Staff Sergeant Yakir Levy, 21, was a MDA youth volunteer who fought in the 13th Battalion of the Golani Brigade.

Dr. Daniel Levi Ludmir, 34, was killed while treating the wounded in the Kibbutz Be’eri clinic on October 7. A native of Peru, he was a doctor at Soroka University Medical Center.

IDF Major Roi Avraham Maimon, 24, was killed while fighting in Gaza in the Yahlam Combat Engineering Unit. He was a volunteer paramedic with MDA’s Afula station.

Dolev Malka, 19, was a soldier with the IDF Kfir Unit and killed in combat in Gaza. He was from Shlomi where he was an MDA volunteer EMT.

MDA paramedic Amit Man, 22, was shot by terrorists while treating the wounded in the clinic of Kibbutz Be’eri, where she lived.

Saar Margolis, 37, was killed while protecting Kissufim, his kibbutz. He had been a volunteer EMT with MDA’s Ofakim station for the past three years.

Armored Corps soldier and MDA Volunteer Master Sergeant Nitai Meisels, 30, died while fighting in Gaza. A resident of Be’er Sheva, Meisels volunteered in MDA’s Rehovot station.

IDF paramedic Agam Naim, 20, was killed in Gaza. She was from Kibbutz Mishmarot and volunteered with MDA during her leave from the IDF. Her last volunteer shift was just two days before she was killed.

Dr. Eitan Neeman, 45, a volunteer doctor for MDA and a senior physician in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Soroka University Medical Center in Be’er Sheva, was killed in battle near Sderot while serving as a combat medic.

IDF Sergeant Major Elkana Neulander, 24, fell in battle in the Gaza Strip. He was a volunteer at the MDA Jerusalem station with his father, MDA medic Avri Neulander, since 2015.

Michel Nissenbaum, 59, was a volunteer EMT in MDA’s Sderot station for nine years. Originally from Brazil, he was killed on October 7 by terrorists while he was on his way to rescue his four-year-old granddaughter and his body was held in Gaza until it was recovered in May.

Volunteer MDA EMT Moshe Ohayon, 52, was killed on October 7 while defending his home city of Ofakim along with his son Eliad. He was a trainee in the emergency medicine medics course.

IDF soldier and EMT Yarin Peled, 20, from Kibbutz Be’eri, was killed while fighting for her country. She had volunteered with MDA since she was 15.

IDF Captain Alina Pravosudova, 23, was killed while defending her soldiers at the Urim army base on October 7. She was an MDA Youth Volunteer in Carmel Region.

MDA paramedic Corporal Moti Raveh, 37, from the South Hebron Hills, was killed in Gaza while serving in the IDF reserves. He recently completed his MDA paramedic course.

MDA paramedic Captain (Res.) Sagi Ya’akov Rubinshtein, 31, from Petach Tikva, began his work with MDA as a 15-year-old youth volunteer and later became a first aid instructor. He served as a combat medic in his military service. He was killed in Lebanon.

Lior Rudaif, 61, was abducted from Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak to Gaza on October 7 where he was murdered. He volunteered with MDA in the Negev Region for over 30 years.

IDF Staff Sergeant and combat paramedic Itamar Shemen, 21, from Lapid, fell in battle in Gaza. Even while he was fighting in Gaza, he volunteered on MDA MICUs during his short breaks from army duty.

IDF Sergeant First Class Omer Smadga, 25, from Ganot Hadar, was killed while fighting in Gaza. He was a volunteer EMT with MDA. Smadga and his mother, Liat, volunteered together in the MDA Sharon region.

IDF Staff Sergeant Tuval Yaakov Tsanani, 20, from Kiryat Gat, died in battle in Gaza. An MDA volunteer since he was 15, Tsanani helped many people in ambulances and MICUs.

MDA volunteer EMT Rabbi Yitschak Tsayger, 57, was murdered in a terror attack in Eli. He was an IDF reservist and a resident of Psagot.

Amir Tzur, 23, from Jerusalem, was an EMT and a trainee in an advanced course. He served in a special unit in the IDF.

IDF soldier and EMT Omer Van Gelder, 22, was killed in a minefield explosion in Gaza. A resident of Ma’ale Adumim, he began volunteering with MDA in high school.

Dolev Yehoud, 35, was killed on October 7 while protecting his kibbutz, Nir Oz. He was a volunteer EMT in the Ofakim region. His body was only identified in June.
