Following multiple sirens around Nahariya in northern Israel, Magen David Adom dispatched teams to multiple locations in the area. MDA paramedics, EMTs, and first responders arrived in MICUs, ambulances, and Medicycles.
Paramedics examined a man found lying in a playground who was unconscious with shrapnel wounds. He was declared deceased by the MDA team. According to The Times of Israel, his name was Braen Direktor, he was 27, and he was taking cover next to a low wall.
At other locations in Nahariya, MDA EMTs and paramedics treated a 40-year-old woman in mild condition who was injured by a blast, a 44-year-old woman in mild condition with glass shard injuries, and six people suffering from anxiety symptoms.
“We arrived at the playground where there was damage from a rocket strike,” remarked MDA EMT Dor Vaknin. “We saw a man in his 30s lying unconscious with shrapnel wounds. We performed medical assessments, but unfortunately, his injuries were critical. He showed no signs of life, and we had to declare his death.”
