Throughout the past eight months, Magen David Adom teams have worked tirelessly across Israel’s north as Hezbollah forces have launched drones and rockets into Israel on a near-daily basis.
The rockets and drones are launched from southern Lebanon, starting fires, causing damage, and injuring civilians and soldiers. In May alone, 1,000 rockets injured people and caused structural damage. A large fire sparked by a barrage of rockets and several drones launched at the area on Sunday consumed over 2,470 acres of foliage in open areas, according to Israel Nature and Parks Authority.
MDA teams have remained dedicated to their work despite the danger, manning stations across the region and responding to security and medical challenges. They have also provided medical support to those fighting the fires.
