
Magen David Adom teams worked with the IDF to treat and evacuate victims of a shooting attack at the Tayasir Checkpoint in the Jordan Valley.
Two soldiers in the reserves were killed and eight others were injured, according to the Times of Israel. MDA dispatched four MICUs and three ambulances to the scene. Additionally, MDA dispatched six ambulances to the helicopter landing pads at Rambam and Beilinson hospitals. A MDA helicopter was also dispatched and placed on standby near the incident.
After providing initial medical treatment at the scene and at the helicopter landing pads, MDA evacuated four people to Rabin Medical Center – Beilinson and two others to Rambam Medical Center.
“We arrived at the scene with ambulances and MICUs. Together with the IDF medical teams, we provided medical treatment to six people who were then airlifted by IDF helicopters,” remarked MDA paramedic Denis Polkov. “We then brought them from the landing pads to the hospitals’ trauma rooms.”
