Three months ago, Amitai Argaman lost both his legs in battle in Gaza at Beit Hanoun when he was serving in the IDF reserves.
MDA paramedic Udi Adri, who was also serving in the military reserves as a paramedic, fought for Argaman’s life while he transported him to the hospital by helicopter.
This week, Argaman was visiting MDA headquarters in Kiryat Ono when he had the chance to meet Adri for the first time since that day. “While I was visiting MDA, I told my story. When Udi heard it, he realized that he had treated me in a helicopter in Gaza. I was very excited to meet him.”
“I was very excited to meet Amitai,” remarked Adri. “This is the first time I have met a wounded man that I treated. Amitai came to us when he was seriously injured and we fought for his life. He is a hero.”
