Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) ambulances are staffed by MDA’s most highly trained paramedics and carry special equipment and sophisticated technology for the treatment of cardiac and stroke patients, and victims of severe trauma.
These added tools enable paramedics to perform complex procedures that are so often the difference between life and death.

“It’s the paramedic who saves the life. What happens in the golden hour after the stroke or severe injury, determines whether or not the patient will survive.”
